Hours that may not be counted:
- Prohibited activities
- Sleep
- Crew down time (campfires, board games, movies, etc.)
- Personal time (quiet time, bathing, making phone calls at home, doing laundry, etc.)
Service Projects:
- Trail maintenance and or construction
- Invasive species removal
- Boardwalk installation
- Planting
Crew Support:
- Prepared breakfast/lunch/dinner for the crew
- Helped set up, break dow,n or clean campsite
- Weekly meal planning and preparation
- Tool maintenance
- Camp chores
Non-Project Crew Activities:
- Travel time to the new project or campsite
- Attended a weekend project partner event
- Volunteered at a community/volunteer project
- Crew food shopping with leaders

Summer 2025 – 675 Hour Term @ 11.5 Weeks
0.5 Training Weeks (4 days) + 11 Project Weeks
11.5 Weeks @ 60 Service Hours Per Week = 690 Hours (15 hr. buffer)
40 Project Hours + 20 Non-Project Hours
Training or Project Days = 10 hours per day
Approximate Per Week = 50 Hours
- Pre-Project: 1 hrs
- Project: 8-10 hrs
- After-Project: 1 hrs
Non-Project / Weekend Days = 5 hours per day
Approximate Per Week = 10 Hours
- Camp Chores: 2 Hrs
- Food Shopping: 2 hrs
- Moving & Camp Set Up Projects: 4 hrs
- Crew Hike: 2-3 Hours
DAILY EXAMPLES:
Training Day – Camp tour, Program Overview, AmeriCorps Orientation (12 hours, training)
- Scheduled Training: 8 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hrs)
- 1-2 hours before training & 1-2 hours after training
Project Example – Morning camp chores, MTB trail maintenance with CAMBA, prepared dinner for crew, and camp clean up. (12 hours, direct service)
- Scheduled Project: 8 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hrs)
- 2 hours before the project & 2 hours after the project
Weekend Non-Travel Day – Camp chores, food resupply shopping, crew hike at Copper Falls State Park, (5 hours, direct service)
Travel Day – Camp chores, break down camp, traveled with crew to new project site, set up new crew camp (7.5 hours, direct service)
