Missed Time
WisCorps Crews are expected to deliver 40 hours of service per week to their project partner. If time served falls under 40 hours in a week due to weather, vehicle mishaps, travel difficulties, project partner scheduling, or other reasons, WisCorps crews will do its best to make up missed hours. Alternate scheduling must be approved by project partner and WisCorps staff supervisors.
- Service days may be extended from 8 hours up to 10 hours.
- Service hours can be added to weekends; for example, a crew could serve 4 hours on a Saturday morning if half of a weekday was lost due to inclement weather.
- Service hours cannot be added on weekends that the crew will be moving to a new project partner
WisCorps staff supervisors need to be made aware any time that one or more participants on a crew miss 1 hour or more of service time for any reason (weather, illness, injury, personal reasons, project partner instructions, etc.)
Communicate with WisCorps staff supervisor if:
- Someone is feeling ill and wants to stay at camp / lodging for the day
- The project partner asked you to leave more than 60 minutes early at the end of a service day
- A minor injury has lead to a participant needing more than 60 minutes off of the project
- Vehicle issues lead to a late start for the service day or pull Crew Leaders away from the crew
- Any other reason that leads to anyone on the crew missing 60 minutes or more of the service day
